The Lewis and Clark Expedition had numerous members, most of whom left descendents. The Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, Inc. has several genealogical resources.
The Foundation's William P. Sherman Library and Archives, located in Great Falls, Montana, houses a compilation of genealogy records from various sources, including the records of the Lewis and Clark Descendent Project which certified verifiable descendants of the Corps.
The Lewis and Clark Descendent Project based in Warrenton, Oregon, produced a book entitled The Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery: Their Lives and Their Lineage.

Many descendents are Foundation members who enjoy sharing stories with each other at chapter meetings or at Foundation annual meetings. Click here to join the Foundation or renew your membership.

Members of the Corps of Discovery are listed on the Expedition Roster with some basic information about each person.
