The Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, as a popular learned society, seeks to promote and extend scholarship and learning of Lewis and Clark in all areas. As such, the Foundation produces a series of publications that promote scholarship, inform members of events, and promote learning.
We Proceeded On is the scholarly journal dedicated to the Lewis and Clark Expedition and related topics. First published in 1974, We Proceeded On draws researchers and writers from across the disciplinary spectrum. Subscription to We Proceeded On is included in Foundation membership.
The Orderly Report is a series of electronic communications that inform members about the current events in the Lewis and Clark world. NOTE: The Orderly Report is currently being put out incrementally by Lorna Hainesworth. Please contact the Office for further information on how to receive The Orderly Report.
The Foundation also produces An American Legacy: The Lewis and Clark Expedition, a curriculum guided dedicated to bringing Lewis and Clark into the classroom. Written by national scholars and educational experts, it has been aclaimed as the defininitve resource for educators.
